Strategic reset

DS30 is also our strategic reset.

We have already implemented new enhanced safeguarding services by making the PVG scheme a legal requirement for anyone carrying out a regulated role. We have invested in technology, helping us to use automation and cut, and in many cases remove, costly paper-based and manual processes. We embedded principles of sustainability and future ‘change enablement’ into our systems.

We have consistently maintained service standards whilst transforming the organisation. DS25 was the first stage in setting the foundations to reposition us from an administrative based, disclosure checking organisation. DS30 builds on this moving us towards our goal of being an integral part of Scotland’s wider system of safeguarding and public service delivery that our previous corporate strategy (DS25) built foundations for.

We are now in a stronger position than we were in 2020. We are more agile, responsive and efficient and we have embraced more modern and innovative technology that allows iteration and innovation rather than restricts it.
