Delivering our goals and impact
To meet our strategic goals, we need to work together across specialisms, functions and partner organisations. We cannot achieve them alone.
Our goals require a clear and cost-effective approach to how we deliver our services. This approach will be designed to be efficient, reliable, resilient and grounded in continuous improvement and effective process design.
To achieve our goals over the next four years, we will be guided by the following design principles:
- safeguarding first
- co-design
- agile working
- efficiency
- value for money
- person-centred
- data-led and insight-led
We will organise our work under five thematic areas:
- digital technology
- improvement and innovation
- partnerships and stakeholders
- corporate services
- people and organisational development
Most, if not all, of our strategic goals will require clearly planned, coordinated and managed actions that incorporate all design principles and span two or more themes.
This is how we will deliver impactful and sustainable change in Scotland by 2030. It is how we will improve safeguarding outcomes by providing high-quality public services today whilst preparing for the future.
Each of our strategic goals and what success looks like are explained in more detail later in this strategy.
