Have your say on Disclosure Scotland fee proposals

Take part in our public consultation!

As part of Disclosure Scotland’s work to implement the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020 by April 2025, we’re reviewing our fee waivers, discounting and registration fees. Our public consultation on these will run until 28 May 2024.

The full consultation paper is available to read and complete online.

Consultation workshops

We’re offering short workshops to review the proposals in the consultation. This gives you the opportunity to give feedback and highlight what should be considered if these proposals are passed to Scottish Ministers.

These sessions will focus specifically on exploring the following proposals:

  • fee discounts for people who receive certain benefits
  • fee discounts for care experienced young people
  • fee discounts for Qualifying Voluntary Organisations (QVOs)
  • registration fees for organisations who countersign any level of disclosure (Accredited Bodies)

We'll take you through each of these proposals, record your thoughts on them and tell you how else you can contribute to the consultation to help shape any proposals sent to Scottish Ministers.

If you’re interested in attending any of these sessions, email our events team at dsworkshop@disclosurescotland.gov.scot

Further information for attendees

Your feedback from these sessions will be recorded and transcribed to ensure your views are considered. We ask that all attendees are familiar with our processes so you can give informed feedback on behalf of your organisation.
