You can find these on our website.

We’ve also updated our regulated roles guidance based on your feedback. This guidance will help you assess if a role is a ‘regulated role’. If you are a countersignatory or involved in the recruitment process, you should ensure that you are familiar with this guidance.

Sharing disclosures

The disclosure process will include a requirement for applicants to either:

  • share a copy of their disclosure with the accredited body that countersigned the application
  • notify us that they will seek a review of the content of their disclosure prior to sharing with the accredited body

Applicants must consent to share their disclosure with the accredited body regardless of whether it contains any disclosure information. This is usually done via their online account.

Organisations should adapt their current recruitment processes to ensure the applicants are aware of what they need to do for this new step. Our application process webpage may assist organisations with this.

Applicants have 14 days to share their disclosure. If they do not share their disclosure within 14 days, a new application may be required.

However, before you start a new application, please ask the applicant to contact us via our helpline or by emailing response@disclosurescotland.gov.scot so we can provide them with further guidance or support.

Online registration forms

You can now access the form to add a countersignatory on our website. Please send completed forms to DSAPRegistration@disclosurescotland.gov.scot.

Finance

Please ensure that your organisation is eligible for free volunteer applications before you send these to us.

Please make sure you pay your invoice in line with our payment terms, making sure you send a remittance and that all your account details are up to date and accurate.
