Information about Level 1 disclosure applications
From 18 June, all accredited bodies can countersign Level 1 disclosures and view their applicants' disclosures through their Disclosure Scotland organisation account.
For organisations looking to recruit, this will help streamline and improve the recruitment decision making process, enabling more control and instant access to candidates’ digital disclosure information.
To set up a Disclosure Scotland organisation account you must use the link in the email we have sent you.
A short e-learning course is available on our website to help applicants and countersignatories understand the process.
For more information, you can contact our Customer Engagement Team by email: customerengagement@disclosurescotland.gov.scot.
Gareth Wilks, Director of Policy and Customer Engagement said:
“We have enhanced our digital offering as part of our ongoing commitment in improving our customers experience when using our service. This marks a significant change to how accredited bodies can view their disclosures. You can now do everything online from applying through to when you receive your disclosure.”
“If you intend to apply for disclosures for your employees, you must first register your organisation with Disclosure Scotland as an accredited body once you receive an email from us. If you do not want to register, you can use an umbrella body who can countersign applications on your behalf. To do this more information can be found on our website.”
