627,955 is the total number of disclosures we have processed for our customers since January 2025. That’s 2,672 checks completed by us every working day this year.

Regulated role? It’s a role that makes a difference

115,129 people have joined the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme since January 2025. Behind every number is someone stepping up to make a difference.

That’s 115,129 people stepping up into roles that make a difference - from teachers to support workers. Thank you for doing your part in making Scotland a safer place to live and work.

Scotland safeguards together

374,477 PVG scheme applications have been processed by Disclosure Scotland since January 2025. From classrooms to care homes, PVG scheme checks protect those who need it most.

357,921 records have been uploaded to our systems for PVG scheme ongoing monitoring since January 2025. Thats keeping people safe - every second of every day.

PVG scheme checks are at the heart of safeguarding vulnerable groups. Every person who was checked is a symbol of Scotland’s commitment to protecting vulnerable groups in every sector.

Opening doors for all

228,890 Level 1 disclosure applications have been processed by Disclosure Scotland since January 2025.

Level 1 disclosures were the unsung heroes of 2025. Thousands of people used them to start new jobs, volunteer, and unlock opportunities. Quick, simple, and secure, these checks helped employers make informed recruitment decisions.

Shielding Scotland from harm

937 is the total number of people who have been barred by Disclosure Scotland since January 2025, from carrying out a regulated role with children and/or protected adults.

Barring an individual is not just a number. It means that Scotland’s most vulnerable - your gran, granda, mum, dad, or child - are safe from those who could cause them harm.
